One thing about old Strat pickups is that they were consistently inconsistent. Some had fewer windings, some had more, some had a lot more. These pickups are a slightly warmer version of the classic Strat sound as they are wound slightly "hotter" to give you extra midrange definition and warmth. One of our most popular pickups. Similar to the Vintage Plus, but with more mids and slightly attenuated highs for a smoother, fatter sounding pickup. Middle is reverse wound.

A hot, full sounding Strat pickup with more output and more bottom end. Combines well with humbuckers due to the increase in output. Middle is reverse wound.

An excellent sounding pickup that oozes that classic Tele bridge tone to perfection. Has that woody, punchy quality that cuts through the mix and demands to be noticed. Sounds particularly good with a 500K volume pot.

Full-Size Humbuckers

Tru-bucker........................................................................................ $114.95

Just an awesome pickup. Van Zandt only makes one humbucker, and it is absolutely incredible. It captures that 50's Les Paul tone with ease - fat notes, crunchy chords, endless sustain. I'll bet when they make a batch of these that they lock 'em in a room with Allman Brothers music piped in 24 hours a day. They have that kind of vibe. It doesn't stop there however. If you wire these to a switch, these have an excellent single-coil, Strat tone as well. Most humbuckers have a weak sounding single-coil sound. These sound like the real deal. Better yet, wire them to an on/on/on switch and you can get the additional sound of a parallel wired humbucker for a tone somewhere in between a typical humbucker and a single-coil - brighter and cleaner than the humbucker, yet fatter and quieter than the single-coil. All 3 of these sounds are easy to get with the provided 4-conductor wiring and they are all excellent, useable sounds. Highly recommended.
