With a 40:1 gearless tuning mechanism (most tuners are more like 12:1 or 14:1), you can expect simple, direct tuning without the usual excessive play. Instead of wrapping the strings around a post, it actually pulls the string into place and the locking system helps keep your guitar in tune once you’ve got it there. Since the tuners are graduated, string trees are no longer necessary.  Additionally, tuning your guitar is much easier as you don't need to make awkward motions with your wrist.  Just move the knob between your thumb and forefinger.  Much easier and more accurate.  Fits most guitars without modification. The same great locking tuners that have set the standard for many years and are now installed as original equipment on many of the newer guitars.  These locking tuners firmly hold the string in place to eliminate string slippage problems.  They have a 12:1 ratio and graduated string post which eliminates the need for string posts.  Flawlessly crafted and extremely accurate.  Available 6 in-line or 3 on each side.
