If you want your tube amp to sound it's best, you've got to have good tubes in it.  You can actually change the tonal characteristics and response of your amp by the tubes you use.  We carry the best sounding tubes on the market today and have incredible prices on them.  Additionally, all of our power tubes come matched at no extra charge to you.  Note:  power tubes are sold in duets or quads only - not individually.

Preamp Tubes

Sovtek 12AX7WA................................................................................. $6.95

A great, warm sounding preamp tube.  If you're on a budget, this is the one you need to get.

Sovtek 12AX7WB..................................................................................$7.95

One of the most popular 12AX7's in production today and definitely one of the most reliable.  Good gain characteristics, low microphonics with a warm, smooth, bluesy tone.

Sovtek 12AX7WXT................................................................................ $8.95

This is the hottest from Sovtek.  More gain than the WB and a bit more boost on the low end.  Perfect for those rockers who want that extra grind.

Sovtek 12AX7LPS............................................................................... $12.95

Now the Russians are getting so close to the NOS stuff that it's getting scary.  A highly rated one that is getting compared to Telefunkens, Mullards and Brimars.  We like the gain and overall full-bodied character of this one.  The spiral filament design helps reduce the hum associated with the heaters.

Ruby (Tesla) 12AX7A...........................................................................$11.95

Another great sounding tube that has some NOS character.  Sounds a lot like their old ECC83.  Good gain and plenty of top end.  Marshall players in particular like these.

Chinese 12AX7...................................................................................... $5.95

Were the industry standard for a while.  Very affordable, lot's of top end and crunchy when pushed hard.  Some of those tube overdrive pedals only sound good when these are used.

Philips 12AT7........................................................................................ $9.95

A great sounding tube at a ridiculous price.  Perfect for phase invertors and reverb driver circuits.

Chinese 12AU7...................................................................................... $7.95

Consider this a lower gain version of a 12AT7.  Great for helping calm down a reverb circuit that's a little too hot or to use in the phase invertor of your amp if you want a cleaner, glassier tone.

Power Tubes

Sovtek 5881........................................................................................ $10.95

This has become the industry standard replacement tube for 6L6's.  Warm and bluesy, sounds great distorted and very reliable.  Highly recommended.

Sovtek 5881WXT.................................................................................$12.95

Same tube as above but with a larger, full size base.  A good choice for those Fender amps that use the octal base clips to keep the tube in place.

Ruby 6L6STR..................................................................................... $17.95

Ruby has really done their homework on this one.  Lot's of pros in the industry like this as it has an NOS kind of sound.  Much like the old Philips with lots of highs and a rock solid bottom.  Great full sound.

Svetlana EL34..................................................................................... $18.95

Guitar player mag drooled over these.  Solid construction and a full tone reminiscent of the old Mullards.  Put a set of these in that old Marshall of yours and you'll remember what all the fuss was about.

Ruby KT66C........................................................................................$39.95

The sound of the KT66 is what made the early Marshalls famous.  This new one from Ruby has been developed so precisely to the specs of the original that it is practically indiscernible from them.  Can be used in place of 6L6's, EL34's or 5881's.

Svetlana 6550..................................................................................... $17.95

The Russians have done it again.  A brute strength, work horse of a tube.  Strong, dependable, powerful.  We like these better than the GE's.  Sounds great in those 6550 equipped Marshalls or those VHT power amps.

Ruby 6V6 GTBC................................................................................. $14.95

A great sounding, heavy duty 6V6 that can handle the high current needs of those old Fender Deluxe Reverbs.  A very musical sounding tube.

Sovtek EL84..........................................................................................$5.95

Also known as a 6BQ5.  Warm, reliable and priced right.

Ruby EL84CZ.....................................................................................$12.95

Made in Czechoslovakia.  These are louder, brighter and more powerful than the Sovteks.  Reminiscent of the legendary GE's.  A real nice one.

Rectifier Tubes

Sovtek 5Y3........................................................................................... $7.95

Sovtek 5V4............................................................................................$8.95

Sovtek 5U4G......................................................................................... $9.95

Sovtek 5AR4/GZ34.............................................................................. $11.95

Ruby 5AR4/GZ34 - our most popular.....................................................$18.95

Philips 5Y3 - New Old Stock.  Need I say more...................................... $1195

Chinese 5U4G - a very reliable reproduction........................................... $13.95

Solid State plug-in rectifier.................................................................... $11.95

Tube Accessories

Tube Retainer........................................................................................ $3.00

Spring loaded tube holder.  Works with 5881, EL34, 6L6 or 6550 tubes.  Easy to install and keeps your tubes from slipping out of the socket.

Octal Tube Clip - Fender-style tube holder................................................$3.00

8-pin Phenolic Tube Socket.................................................................... $5.95

9-pin Phenolic Tube Socket.................................................................... $5.95

8-pin Ceramic Tube Socket.....................................................................$5.95

May require slight chassis modification.  Some amps require that the hole be enlarged slightly so the socket will fit.  Mild grinding should do the trick.

9-pin Ceramic Socket w/shield................................................................ $5.95

Tube Shields - for use with 9-pin sockets................................................. $3.00

Bias Instructions.................................................................................... $4.95

Don't just put new power tubes in your amp and expect them to perform right.  Set the bias.  All you need is a multimeter and these instructions.  For Fenders and Marshalls with an adjustable bias control.
