involved in expressing my appreciation. I put the new pickguard
assembly with the Kinman Woodstocks on my Strat with ease, as you had done

we have ignition.........and Larry D. has a superb sounding custom Fender
Strat due in the most part to Matt Griblin of Griblin Engineering. The
Griblin custom wound Lindy Fralin Vintage Hots, the custom wiring harness,
and the shielded single coils kick some serious booty and emit "god shots"
of guitar sound. Sweet "nectar of the gods" sounds in all positions.
Single coil hum in positions 1 and 5 are reduced enough to enjoy the
unique sound of the two most unused positions on a Strat 5-way switch -
the neck and bridge pickups by themselves. In addition the Woman Tone
control and the Advanced Midrange control give the player the freedom to
express his music in ways unavailable before, as there are now a multitude
of different tones to choose from and all as near as the tone controls of
the guitar. And just when you think it can't get any better...wait it
can... the push/pull pot on the volume pot option allows the combination
of the bridge and neck pickups together. I can see many occasions where
this combination will be used by me in the future. My pleasure in playing
the guitar has increased to the point I can't find enough time to play or
I can't stop until my fingers just won't fret another note. Thank you for
this engineering stroke of genius... totally and tonally balanced with
tons of possibilities. I may put off getting that Les Paul
indefinitely!!! This is by far the best investment and the biggest bang

played it he told me he didn't notice any difference. I had to explain
that all the knobs didn't need to be on 10 anymore. Once he figured that
out he started getting all sorts of different tone. He then got rid of
the 8 band EQ, the compressor pedal and made normal adjustments to the
tone controls of the amp. Now all he uses is the overdrive and wah

never had an amp modded before I sent my Vibroverb off to you. My
friends thought I was half crazy to send my amp across country when it was
working without any problems, to have someone try and improve the sound of
the amp when it was built by a company that had been in business since the
50's. After all if it could sound better, Fender would have built it
differently, right? So I sent you my amp based on the description of
your Texas Special mod in your catalog and took a chance. The end
result is even better than I imagined. The clean channel is warm,
full, detailed. It not only sounds good with my electrics, but it
sounds wonderful when I plug in my acoustics. The overdrive is
equally impressive.......warm, crunchy, smooth. Not fuzzy like a lot
of amps these days. Tons of sustain whether I'm playing my Fenders
or Gibsons. Needless to say you gave me a better sounding amplifier
than the manufacturer did, and you gave me more features -
overdrive, fx loop, channel switching - that weren't even on
the amp. I can't say enough about how happy I am with the great tone

"Good
Morning SuperMatt, and I do mean SUPER! I received the chassis on
Saturday and got into the amp on Sunday morning. Now I know why
Marshall called it the "Rock 'N Roll Baby"! When I turned it on, and
dialed up the sound, I thought it would take my head off! Holy Cow!
I removed 2 power tubes and reduced the ohms to 4 and it still kicks like
a junkyard dog! It sounds just amazing. You really know your
electronics! The works was so neat and beautiful looking. I
like the switch on channel 2, second input. It works so nicely to
bring up the weaker pickups. The tone of the amp is the best
sounding SLP I have ever heard! Not a fizz, or buzz anywhere and
super articulation and touch sensitivity. The controls actually work
to enhance and change the sound of the amp, as they should. The amp
has a sound similar to my VH4, channel 3 when I dial it in. Anyone
looking for an SLP that sounds as it should really needs to contact you,
like immediately! Your work is to be raved about! Thank you so
very much for taking the time to get the amp just right. What a set
of ears you have! I cannot stop grinning like a baboon just thinking

had to drop you a note and let you know what's happening back here.
As you know I flew back East to play some recording sessions. It was
also arranged that I would get to sit in with Les Paul at the Iridium Club
and play a few tunes. Needless to say this was one of the highlights
of my life to be invited to play with the man himself. At the end of
the evening, Les commented on how much he liked my playing and my
tone. I'm going to take full credit for my playing, but you get
credit for the tone. I brought my Les Paul (of course, so Les could
sign it) as well as the Tele that you tricked out the wiring on and the
Twin Reverb that you modded to the hilt (my number 1 amp). The Tele
is completely unique and gets the job done every time. There is no
style that I can't play with it. Depending on how I set the switches
I can get whatever I need. It's chunky, fat, bell-like,
smooth.......whatever I need is there. And the amp..........the amp
has everything you could ever need on an amp. It has limitless tone
and no shortfalls. It purrs like a kitten or roars like a lion yet
always maintains a thick sweetness like maple syrup on a cold winter day.
The clean is just awesome. Warm, full, vintage with a beautiful
clarity to the notes. The overdrive is perfect -
crunchy, fat, sustaining with a great overall balance. I don't need
pedals anymore as the guitar and amp are all the equipment I need to get
the job done. I got great comments all week long in the studio
regarding the tone I was getting and then to have Les add to that was just
icing on the cake. Pat yourself on the back and get ready 'cause
I've picked up a bunch more gear that I'm going to need you to work your
