Shipping Instructions
If you are sending us a guitar or
amp to work on, be sure and read the following tips to insure that your
equipment arrives safely. We've received guitars and amps from all over
the world and haven't lost anything yet, but want to stress to you the
importance of packing it correctly. If you follow the tips mentioned
below, you shouldn't have any problems.
 |
Get a sturdy box. Audio and
video stores are good sources, as are music stores. I
recommend a box large enough to have a four-inch cushion on all
sides, including the top and bottom.
|
 |
If you are just shipping an amp
head, leave it in the cabinet. If you are shipping a combo
amp, take it out of the cabinet and just send the chassis. If
sending a guitar, leave it inside the hard shell case and find a box
to put the case in.
|
 |
Take the tubes out of the amp.
Wrap them up and put them in a separate box (unless you are getting
new tubes from us). Put this box in the larger box containing
your amp.
|
 |
Pack the amp as securely as you
can. You can use styrofoam popcorn, foam rubber or crumpled
newspaper. Don't cut corners! We are going to use the
same box and packing when we ship it back and are not responsible
for inadequate packing materials. I recommend shipping UPS
ground, although you may want to shop around.
|
 |
Be sure to include a note with your
name, address, phone number, method of payment and an explanation of
what we are doing for you. We charge $35.00 for return
shipping (including insurance) for most amps.
